Terra Mobility is the operating system for ground travel, engineered for the world as it really moves.

A journey in São Paulo isn't a journey in Santiago. A morning commute in Madrid doesn't move like a midnight ride in Montréal. We build marketplaces, e-commerce and inventory systems tailored to the regions they serve, woven into one connected ecosystem where local expertise meets global scale.

All so that every mile runs efficient. Every seat, filled. Every passenger, connected.

Our story

It started in 2011 from a window seat crossing South America by bus.

Witnessing a vital but underserved industry, our CEO & Co-founder LP Maurice saw a better way forward and founded Busbud upon his return home to Montréal, Canada.

Soon, that same spirit sparked across the continent. Recorrido emerged in Chile to connect remote communities, while Buson built the digital infrastructure powering Brazil's ground travel backbone.

In 2021, these paths converged, uniting market leaders and advanced B2B platforms into an ecosystem built on decades of collective ground truth. In July 2026, Terra Mobility was launched.

Today, we continue to integrate the industry's best technology and intelligence. We're still looking out that same window, building for a world that deserves a better way to move.

Busbud is founded.
LP Maurice, Michael Gradek and Frédéric Thouin founded Busbud in Montréal.
2013
Recorrido and Buson are founded.
Julian Deutschle, Lennart Ruff, Simón Narli and Tilmann Heydgen build Recorrido in Chile. In Brazil, Thiago Carvalho, Rodrigo Barbosa and Halyson Valadão launch Guichê Virtual — today's Buson.
2022
Busbud acquires Recorrido and Betterez.
Chile's leading marketplace joins the group. Days later, Busbud acquires Betterez — a global SaaS reservation and ticketing platform for operators.
2023
Busbud acquires Ratality.
Award-winning B2B and B2C revenue management and loyalty software, used across Europe and South Africa, joins the platform.
2024
Busbud acquires Buson.
Brazil's leading bus platform — 300+ operators and 150,000+ routes — joins the group, bringing Latin America's biggest ground network with it.
2026
Terra Mobility is created.
The parent company brand for our end-to-end ecosystem — unifying marketplace reach, operator technology and e-commerce into one vision.
