A global gathering in Canada’s Rockies
Once a year, the Group of Seven (G7) brings together leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the US, and the European Union to address global economic and security priorities. The 51st G7 Summit took place on June 16–17, 2025, in the secluded mountain resort of Kananaskis, Alberta—its first time returning to the site since 2002.
While the location provides natural perimeter security, it also creates a massive mobility challenge: moving thousands of accredited delegates, media personnel, and security teams between Calgary International Airport, hotels in Calgary and Canmore, and the red-zone conference site daily—often on closed roads and under tight security protocols.

Centralized transport reservations, delivered fast
To manage this complexity with speed and precision, the organizing committee selected Terra Mobility to provide the secure reservation platform for delegate and staff transportation.
Within a short time, Terra Mobility configured and launched a full-featured solution—allowing delegates, employees, and support personnel to securely schedule transfers between airports, hotels, and restricted venues. Real-time capacity controls and role-based portals allowed transportation managers to stay agile, optimize routes, and keep each vehicle’s movements on track.
Luggage tracking with full chain-of-custody
Security wasn’t just about moving people. Every piece of luggage was tagged by delegation and scanned on and off its designated coach, enabling a full chain-of-custody from airport to hotel to venue.
With thousands of bags in motion across multiple secure zones, this level of accountability and traceability was key to meeting the strict security and operational standards of the event.
Powering mobility at the highest level
The G7 Summit required a transportation technology partner that was fast, flexible, and secure. With an estimated 8,000–9,000 participants, shifting road conditions, and multiple high-security zones, Terra Mobility delivered seamless and accountable movement every step of the way.
